So, exactly WHAT IS included in wedding videography? That is a wonderful question! And honestly, the answer is that the limit does not exist. Sorry, shameless Mean Girls reference! But in all seriousness, there are just about endless options when it comes to video. Let’s go through all of the wedding videography options we offer.
What’s included in Wedding Videography Packages
Highlight Films
One of the most basic types of edits you can get from your wedding day is a highlight film. This is a 3-5 minute creative movie-like edit that includes all the main moments from your day. This is most of what is included in wedding videography.
Your highlight film can include moments such as first looks or first touches, your personal vows to each other, your special dances, and all the eye candy you can imagine – basically a nice overview for you to relive all the best parts of your day.
With your highlight film being video, it also means that we include the audio from the moments that you may not remember that you’ll want to hear over and over again every time you watch your film starring you and your fiance.
Teaser and Feature Films
There are two other similar edits to a highlight film – one shorter and one longer. The shorter version is a teaser film. This is something you will get back before all of your other content. Waiting 12-16 weeks on your films seems like a long time but just remember you can’t rush good quality. Especially when you consider this is what you will have to cherish for the rest of time.
The longer film is a feature film. This is a longer version of the creative highlight film if you think 3-5 minutes isn’t quite enough for you and you just want more!
Documentary and FOMO Films
We also offer non-creative edits such as a documentary film and what we like to call a “FOMO” film. The documentary film is going to be a condensed version of most of your day that includes the original audio from your main events – like your ceremony, speeches, first dance, etc. It’s such a fun way to relive a full day in a shorter amount of time with only the best parts.
The “FOMO” film is basically how we deliver your raw footage. We clean it up and edit everything together into a 1-2 hour modern home-movie style film. This includes everything we captured throughout the day with the original audio.
What About Raw Footage?
Speaking of raw footage, this is something that a lot of couples ask us about that we want to touch on. We run at least 4 cameras during the day (not including the drone) along with mics from you, your fiance, your officiant, your DJ, and your toasts.
Take my word for it, you do NOT want to look through HUNDREDS of clips of ungraded raw log footage. Sometimes I forget to stop recording and you see the ground as I’m walking around – hey, it happens. We can make it such a nicer experience for you and we are happy to make a “FOMO” film for you!
We do offer most of these edits in our wedding videography packages. There are of course full edits that you can get if you just wanted to get your toasts in full, for example. Our top package currently includes a teaser trailer film, a 3-5 minute highlight film, an 8-10 minute feature film, and a documentary film. You really can get everything from your day, it just depends on how you want to re-live it when it’s all said and done.
